  • There is no clear timing for when to start using hearing aids, but if you notice that you hear back more often or have difficulty hearing sounds from the TV or telephone, your hearing may be deteriorating, and we recommend that you consider hearing aids.

  • Because everyone hears differently, the degree of improvement in hearing with a hearing aid will vary.

  • When you use a hearing aid for the first time, you will hear many sounds that you did not hear before. This may cause some discomfort, such as being surprised at how loud the sound is, being bothered by noise, hearing other people's voices differently, or hearing your own voice differently. It takes some time to get used to the new sounds you hear in your hearing aids. We recommend that you start with a short period of use in a quiet environment and get used to using your hearing aids in and around your home.

  • When you use a hearing aid for the first time, you will hear many sounds that you did not hear before. Just as you feel dazzled when you suddenly go from a dark place to a bright place, you will suddenly hear sounds that you did not hear before. At first, you may perceive such sounds as the rustling of newspapers or the clattering of dishes as louder than you expected.

  • The in-the-ear type fits snugly in the ear. The earpiece type is used by hanging the hearing aid behind the ear. The earpiece type is popular because it does not get in the way when wearing a mask or glasses.

  • The size and shape are the same; the D31 is much easier to hear than the D21 because it processes noise by splitting the incoming sound into smaller pieces. The D31 also has a remote control for easy volume control, while the D21's volume can be adjusted using the buttons on the hearing aid itself.

  • One year after purchase.

  • Think of it as an expression of how finely the sound can be divided and adjusted by frequency. For example, 8 channels means that the frequencies are divided into eight, and noise suppression and volume are adjusted for each of the divided frequencies. As the number of channels increases, the noise and sound quality can be adjusted more finely, which makes it easier to hear.

  • The volume can be adjusted using the volume control buttons on the hearing aid. With the OHS-D31 series hearing aids with remote control, the volume can be easily adjusted at your fingertips using the remote control.

  • Please contact your dealer for batteries. They are also available at the Onkyo Hearing Aid Support Center. Please dispose of used batteries in accordance with your local government's instructions.

  • Do not get your OHS-D21/OHS-D31 wet. Always remove the hearing aid when taking a bath or shower. Do not leave the hearing aid in damp places such as kitchens or bathrooms. If you drop your hearing aid in water or select it with your clothes, take out the batteries, drain the water well, dry it in the shade and send it in for repair. If the OHS-EH21 is placed in a washing machine or dropped into seawater or sewage, take out the battery, wash it once in fresh water, drain it well, dry it in the shade, and send it in for repair. The OHS-EH21 has obtained a dustproof and waterproof protection rating of IP67. It can be used safely for daily washing, rain, and sweating. However, since it is not completely waterproof, please avoid immersion in liquids, washing, and exposure to high temperature, low temperature, and high humidity for a long period of time.

  • It is possible to make a phone call while wearing a hearing aid. If you do so, you may hear a beeping sound (howling) from the hearing aid if the receiver is placed snugly against your ear. To avoid covering the hearing aid with the handset, place it on your ear so that there is a small space between the handset and the hearing aid. Try to orient the receiver in a way that makes it easier to speak and less likely to cause feedback.

  • If your left and right hearing is almost the same, it is recommended that you wear them on both ears. When the left and right hearing is balanced, it is easier to sense the direction of sound, easier to hear in noisy environments, and easier to hear sound in three dimensions.

  • Please clean the hearing aid with the brush provided, as clogged earwax can weaken the sound and cause it to malfunction. Moisture can also harm the hearing aid components, so we recommend storing the hearing aid in a drying case (sold separately).

  • If you are considering the use of hearing aids for your child, please consult an ENT physician.

  • Ear wax clogging in the ear canals can cause hearing loss. Use the cleaning brush provided to remove the dirt or, if it cannot be removed, replace the earplugs with new ones. If the problem persists, please contact the Onkyo Hearing Aid Support Center.

  • First, don't panic if you hear a beeping sound. The beeping is a sign that your hearing aid is working well. The beeping will stop when the hearing aid fits into your ear without gaps. If the beeping continues, your ear buds may not be the right size. Try a larger size earplug.

  • If you are experiencing difficulty hearing with your hearing aids, try cleaning the ear wires or replacing the batteries. If the problem persists, please contact the Onkyo Hearing Aid Support Center. If it is determined that repair is necessary, you will be guided through the repair process.

  • Please contact the Onkyo Hearing Aid Support Center if you have any problems after purchase, such as how to use the product.
