Traffic measurement machine

This is a "vibration-based" traffic measurement device equipped with a high-sensitivity sensor that uses AI to analyze the type and number of passing vehicles. The accuracy is 95%. It is a "sound-based" measuring device that integrates Onkyo's sound technology.

Vibration Measurement

No camera or measuring personnel required! Equipped with a high-sensitivity sensor.

Small space installation

Only 38cm square. Only one color cone is needed!

Analysis accuracy 95%*.

Our proprietary AI algorithm boasts a high accuracy analysis rate.

144 hours continuous operation

Energy-saving operation! Continuous measurement is possible 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Reasonable
Rates

This is a more economical alternative to manual or filmed video measurement.

Nighttime measurement

Measurement by "sound" is possible even in the dark. Nighttime measurements are also possible.

It can be easily installed in a space of only 38 cm square within the sidewalk space, and can measure traffic volume with high accuracy at a low cost. This system is used for measurement in rural areas with small to medium traffic volumes.

Characteristics

*Based on Onkyo research (when measured on two lanes of oncoming traffic).

Built in color cone

It fits snugly into the cavity inside a common color cone used at construction sites. It is installed so that the vibration sensor touches the road, and a fixture with special screws prevents theft.

Vibration Analysis by AI

Install one otorlcn for each lane on the sidewalk at the side of the road. For roads with poor visibility or few streetlights at night, please provide warning lights as well.

evidence

This development of Otorukun is currently being conducted in collaboration with the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST). We have collected and analyzed the vibrations of more than 80,000 vehicles in total, and are in the process of creating "big data" on sound. We have presented our research results in papers at several research conferences and have received numerous awards for our achievements.

*Additional delivery fee is required.

*For observation on a four-lane road (two-lane road in each direction), the fee for commissioned observation by the camera and equipment rental will be +33,000 yen.

*Otolcen observation may not be possible due to road conditions.

Vibration sensing and recording

When measurement begins, a vibration sensor installed inside the otorkun detects vibrations generated by vehicle traffic and records them on an onboard data terminal.

Vibration Analysis by AI

AI analysis is performed using vibration data and a traffic observation model with correct labels.

Analysis Result Output

Output data on the number of large and small vehicles by time.

Since noise is the great enemy in audio, we have cultivated circuit board design technology to reduce noise. At Otorukun, we have made the most of this technology to transform the sound from "enjoyable sound" to "useful sound.

FAQ

  • Long-term and periodic measurements are also available. Please inquire separately.

  • Not included. However, prior to renting the Ototorukun, you are required to inform us in advance of the rental period and the measurement date.

  • The measurement fee is +33,000 yen for the case of 4 lanes in the opposite direction. In the case of four oncoming lanes, the measurement fee will be +33,000 yen. Please note that accuracy may be reduced in areas where traffic flow is considerably high.

  • This is possible if the customer has used Otorkun before and has the skills to install it. Please contact us for details.
